Le migliori pompe da bici
È l'attrezzo fondamentale per ogni ciclista (urbano o sportivo) per controllare la pressione degli pneumatici e gonfiarli. Vediamo insieme quali sono le più pratiche
Le pompe da bicicletta sono uno strumento indispensabile per tenere sempre sotto controllo la pressione degli pneumatici, ancora di più se utilizziamo la bici quotidianamente per gli spostamenti urbani, proprio come facciamo periodicamente con la moto o con l’auto se vogliamo guidare in sicurezza.
Il sistema utilizzato per tenere in pressione le gomme delle bici da città è la classica camera d’aria con valvola Presta (la soluzione tubeless, senza camera d’aria, è utilizzata soprattutto sulle mountain bike e sulle bici da strada, non per le bici da città), di diametro più piccolo della Schrader, cioè quella che normalmente troviamo su auto e moto. Praticamente ogni pompa da bicicletta sul mercato ha una testa compatibile con entrambi i tipi di valvola, ma per avene la certezza è meglio controllare questa caratteristica quando andiamo a sceglierne una. È poi bene controllare la pressione che possono raggiungere, che per le bici da città è generalmente compresa fra 3 e 5 bar.
Per il ciclista urbano non è una pratica così comune quella di portare con sé una pompa da bici o il necessario per riparare una foratura; è in realtà più frequente usare una pompa a casa/in garage per controllare la pressione prima di utilizzare la bici, ma fra queste che vi segnaliamo ci sono modelli piuttosto pratici e compatti, più facili da portare con sé, in borsa o sulla bici. Suggeriamo, come ulteriore opzione, un minuscolo accessorio da portare in tasca o in borsa, ovvero un raccordo in ottone dal costo di circa 1 o 2 Euro che permette di gonfiare pneumatici da bici con valvola Presta presso le pompe che troviamo dai benzinai se proprio non avessimo una pompa portatile appresso.
La minipompa Bikers Dream è uno strumento versatile, adatto sia alle moto che alle biciclette, nonché a una serie di oggetti da gonfiare come palloni o materassini grazie a degli adattatori forniti di serie. Funziona con un comando a “pedale”, è alta circa 17 cm, pesa 500 grammi ed in grado di gonfiare fino a 12 bar. Il manometro digitale, integrato nella testa, indica la pressione raggiunta e una staffa ribaltabile permette di tenerla salda con l’altro piede mentre la azioniamo. Sotto la base trovano posto gli adattatori e sono comprese una prolunga da 21 cm e la custodia. Costa 39,99 euro.
